Your key responsibilities will be to: contribute to the development, implementation, and promotion of innovative mathematical education programs within the School of Mathematics and Statistics, collaborate effectively with academic and professional staff across the University of Sydney on both teaching and research initiatives, play a leading role in advancing the school’s research, education, and administrative activities, while building a strong reputation as a respected authority in the field of mathematical sciences. As such, we see the importance of recruiting talent aligned to these values and are looking for a Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor (Level C/D) who has a PhD or equivalent doctorate in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field an outstanding track record of research publications in the area of Optimisation Theory evidence of success in securing competitive research grants evidence of ability, versatility and commitment to excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience in supervising students across various academic levels a developing understanding of key strategic issues within the discipline and the broader higher education sector.
