100%. Really a missed opportunity. I guess they have drank the cool aid to some degree. I’m surprised tbh that Johan Rupert seemed to be the most reasonable voice amongst the white delegates. I get that pushing back against trump in that setting might be counterproductive but still.

I have to disagree with this take. Uk needs to up defence spending along with the rest of Europe and this is only the start. US can no longer be relied apon to defend NATO an UK needs to be one of the new leaders. Pity it comes at the cost of aid, however many studies question the effect of aid.

In fact he threatened escalation if there were retaliatory tariffs, which there were, and instead of escalating to 50% as threatened he backed off, sure feels like an L to me.

There’s enough misinformation out there without sources like @ianbremmer.com adding to the murkiness of the pool. He didn’t win anything, this narrative serves trump and brings into question your credibility.
