But hey, if people are happy, I'm happy. I did say I just hope Konami does a good job with the newer games, and SHF sold like crazy, so they must have been doing something right. It's just... not for me.

It goes to show what I said: everybody interprets what SH is supposed to be as a series differently. Ironically, the things I like the most are the setting and the plot, despite the fact that I think SH should generally stay in SH. It's a town with over a century of history, plenty of possibilities.

I'm not gonna get all "I'm a bigger SH fan than thou art" and I don't claim to have any authority (especially as someone who hasn't actually played it) but just by watching it, it doesn't look like SH to me at all. Looks like an action game with spooky imagery and an interpretive plot.
