No one is making that kind of judgement call on Ed’s intelligence. If people are choosing Stede to be the insurance guy it’s definitely not because they think he’s smarter than Ed and I’m sorry if you interpreted it that way. This is not about Ed “understanding” insurance.

🤦♀️There is no winner or loser in this situation. Personality hire is absolutely not an insult. Paying the bills behind the scenes is not an insult either. Like you said, both are equal and you need both in a relationship. I’m smart as hell and I am also the personality hire. It’s not a bad thing.

Literally no one is saying anything like this at all. It’s just a popular ship meme, not a treatise on who could pass an insurance board regulation exam, which I’m sure he could easily do if he wanted to. We all know Ed is a genius, none of that is up for debate 😭

No one is saying either of them would be seriously ignorant about anything. It’s just who deals with the behind the scenes minutia of daily life and who’s answering the door to greet guests. This is merely a front of house/back of house thing, tangy/zangy, leather and lace etc etc

Ahhh yes, they’re taking the same approach as my parents did in life where they both wrongly assume that the other one is on top of the bills when in fact, they’re all still in envelopes piled up under a bunch of crap until the lights turn off.
