so what are we thinking for specs? do you have a preference on type (strat, tele, sg, les Paul, etc)? pickup preference (humbucker, single coil)? does color matter?

i would encourage any revolutionary-minded people to avoid this kind of "one weird trick to win hearts and minds" stuff. there's certainly a benefit to tailoring your words for your audience but revolution is not a messaging problem – it's a political one.

of course ultimately what people mean is "you can get people to provisionally agree with center-left ideas by not invoking marx," which, yeah, I guess I agree. because you're re-selling DSA stuff to them. which doesn't require marx!

even if people were actually convinced by this kind of thing, my goal as a communist is not to trick people into believing the right things, but to galvanize them to revolutionary action. and for better or for worse you can't lie your way to revolutionary consciousness!
