I’m begging whoever made the decision to use AI for subtitling on #primevideo, please reconsider. #thelonggoodfriday deserves better than this nonsense.

And if you need an esteemed east end scholar with a proven track record to translate our old cockney tongue, I am available for commissions.

I'm completely on the side of the Palestinian people right up to the point where you feel it necessary to throw Jewish people under the bus as well.

I've loved Bob Vylan for years but Death To The IDF and From The River To The Sea are both antisemitic statements, and he shouldn't have said them.

Social media creating two media universes: one in which you drive yourself into, at best, a lowkey depression being continually served videos of atrocities, one in which you are so under-informed that you vote for someone pledging to deport 20mn people and then go 'wait, he wants to deport people?'

I watched #3Women by #RobertAltman yesterday. What a weird fever dream of a film - the cinematic equivalent of My Bloody Valentine or something.

Would be amazed if it weren't a huge influence on A Cure For Wellness - spa setting, something deeply wrong with the town, archetypes arising. V cool.

Just a quick reminder that Joanna Cherry and Fair Play for Women both defended this woman.

Imagine for just a single second if a trans person had carried out these horrific crimes while leading a child protection charity. Just for a second.

Judge Hodge: I caution you not to see this as a victory

Nick Robinson: Is this a victory?

Baroness Falkner: Yes

(#r4today this morning.)

I'm horrified by the rights trans people are losing at the behest of the obviously partisan EHRC lead.

A huge amount to process.

What harm are asexual people doing by having their own day of awareness, and why does JK Rowling feel the need to gun for them?

If you're taken in by Rowling's views on 'women's rights', what group of people could possibly be LESS of a risk to women than asexuals?

Let’s not have the apocryphal memories of goldfish earn looking at Reeves spring statement

In 2010, Gordon Brown left a public sector net debt was approximately 60% of UK GDP.

Rishi Sunak bequeathed a figure had risen to nearly %100 of GDP

This stuff matters

I seem to have annoyed an awful lot of people who can't tell the difference between economic and social policy, and who think brigading is the same thing as having a decent argument. It's like the Twitter wars all over again.
Starmer's Labour is objectively the most economically left wing government we have had since the 70s.

There are two ways to look at that - one is to say 'it isn't far enough', and the other is to say 'it's better than what we've had up until now'. I'm of the latter camp.

It's that or Tories next.

If you fancy donating to @combatstress.bsky.social through Bandcamp it's your lucky week.

Everything I get this week will go straight to them on the 1st March. It's four of Kipling's darkest Barrack Room Ballads and I'm very proud of it.

Owen Jones says in today's Guardian that it was clear 'from the outset' that Starmer would breeze directly into Number 10.

Here he is in 2021 saying Labour were already done with him.

I like Owen Jones. As a Chav myself I always appreciated the apologia. But this is revisionist nonsense.
