imho the answer is just to try not to generalise when one is tempted to say things like “Games should be more X”.

Nobody’s really played even a tiny fraction of the games that exist, even if you just count the popular ones. Mainstream games journalism focuses just on particular genres/audiences leaving huge gaps, like mobile games, casual games, etc.

ChatGPT is actually a *skeuomorphism* of a chat system, like WhatsApp or messenger. They chose this because people are already familiar with this kind of interface, so less onboarding required. Search is probably a better paradigm.
