In 1971, Big Abe LeBlanc, who’s Ojibwe, turned himself in for commercial fishing without a license and fishing with illegal equipment.

Talked to a local meteorologist today for our newscasts and after he gave the usual advice (slow down, fill up the tank, keep a blanket in the car) he added this: “Otherwise, enjoy it. A lot of the nation doesn’t get winter like we do. It’s absolutely beautiful.”
