Why anyone would care what these people think about serious issues is beyond me -- except that we have some very unserious people governing the country right now.

It was working and could have been improved but Republicans kept chipping away at it ever since it was passed -- yet they have NO HEALTH CARE PLAN OF THEIR OWN. They just want us to suffer.

Taxpayers and people with private insurance were already paying for uninsured people to use the ER as their primary care -- that's why the ACA was so important. It extended insurance coverage to everyone and forced companies to stop denying preexisting conditions. Lowering total costs via prevention

💯 I don't know if people remember but before the ACA (Obama Care) insurance companies would deny coverage for any pre-existing condition, which can be anything. They could also charge excessive premiums for people with preexisting conditions. People couldn't afford it, so they used the ER.

Yeah, we coulda had a bad bitch as President; now we just have a whiny bitch as President.

This #CorruptSCOTUS has already brought us way too close to autocratic rule. Trump has enough unchecked power as it stands.
November 4, 2025 at 9:28 PM
And if the #CorruptSCOTUS backs him, then what? We'll lose any means of having another fair election. It is already looking like the midterms are going to be rigged. GOP states have been putting people in place to do their bidding.

I hate seeing reporting that is so obviously cowing to the GOP which is actively destroying democracy. Maybe instead of writing this bullshit, you could focus on food insecurity, healthcare, genocide, or any number of important topics that matter much more than this tired brown-nosery.

Thank you for expanding on your argument.

The author stated the graph he used was his estimate.

3% is higher than the forecasted 2.4% inflation (using your numbers), so how is this positive news? Is the point you're making that tariffs aren't as bad as people say? I'm sincerely trying to understand.
October 30, 2025 at 4:10 PM
The figures Prof. Krugman cited were his own "estimates", not real data. Many of us have yet to realize the effect of Trump's tariffs, but many industries are already hurting severely. Many small businesses closed. Uncertainty is bad for markets and bad for business.

Seen it yet?

Just show him the path and he will follow it if Trump says so

Just what every kid wants on Halloween, a can of split pea soup.
October 28, 2025 at 3:01 PM
That is an interesting analogy although I disagree. We should be fixing our errors, but that is not what is currently happening. The GOP isn't only holding class up; they're burning down the building.
