I get the anger behind that comparison. When an agency meant to protect people keeps causing harm with zero accountability, something is deeply wrong.

It really does feel that way. Every time Dems might actually have leverage, it gets handed away in the name of “being reasonable,” and the result is ICE just keeps rolling along unchanged. Hard not to be frustrated watching the same pattern repeat.

That tracks. It’s all transactional. When there’s money or optics on the line, suddenly it’s a united front. Strip that away and it’s separate lives, separate rooms, separate realities. The grift is the only thing holding it together.
