The MADRS score pre-intervention.
I mean if a big inbalance despite randomization occurs for 1 or + baseline characteristics, this inbalance would be due to chance. I guess the only thing to do is to describe it and keep in mind that groups are not fully comparable while interpretating the results.

It might be a silly question (I'm not an expert in statistics), but what is the point of performing a statistical test on the pre-intervention score, given that this is a randomized trial (or at least claimed to be one)?
