What are they building? Yet another SaaS product?
Tooling is essential, and I believe there is a gap in the tooling industry for monorepos. With great tooling, having a monorepo is fantastic. We run all our Angular frontend apps (~30) in a monorepo setup based on github.com/nrwl/nx but the .net BEs are in single repos due to the lack of support

Why is this important? If you try to cater to all groups, .NET will become too generic and won't effectively serve anyone. However, this doesn't mean that .NET shouldn't evolve and become an excellent choice for startups by offering a robust toolchain.

Besides some user complaints, nothing really happens and nobody gets hurt. Many games are developed, and a new version is usually just new software. Also, nobody knows if the game will ever be played. So why bother with unit tests?
