A main speaker is at the center of the image. Behind the speaker is a banner that says "TRUMP MUST GO NOW." There is a crowd of people holding signs in front of the speaker. Only the speaker and those next to him are in focus; everyone else is out of focus. Some of the signs that are readable despite being out of focus read "The Trump Fascist Regime MUST GO NOW!!!" and "HANDS OFF OUR DEMOCRACY" (the latter sign has a red hand before the word "OUR").

can't believe this is the title of an update post from the AP (about his liberation day tariffs)

Milky Way #photography over Assateague Island National Seashore (MD), taken very early morning on March 1, 2025.

This was my first time stacking milky way photos and taking a milky way panorama (but not both), so I'm happy with how it turned out.

Very excited that MW season is back!

Tried playing around with long exposure #photography by taking some photos of @wmata.com trains today. I think they turned out okay, although I could have chosen my focus point better + stayed more still (less shaking). Shutter speeds ranged from 1/10s to 1/4s.

Went to NYC last weekend with the intent of trying a bit of street photography for the first time, and had lots of fun! Here, I tried to capture some moments of people doing their own thing, @mta.info subway edition.

Opinions like these confuse me. Just because you have a car doesn't mean everyone else has a car or wants to drive. Also, what traffic? If you're talking about crossings, surely you can wait an extra minute... In any case, trains — and public transit in general — take people off the road.

But closer to Denver, enthusiasm for the project was more muted among the 60 or so attendees at a CDOT-led community meeting in Arvada in mid-December. Anna Smith, a resident of Arvada’s Candelas neighborhood, was worried about the impacts of a proposed train station near her home.

“I’m concerned with the amount of traffic and noise and how it’s going to affect us,” she said after sitting through CDOT’s presentation at Storyline Church. “I wouldn’t use (the train) because I have a car.”

John Marvin, who has lived in Arvada for 55 years, said Indiana Street is already a traffic nightmare. Luring people from Golden, Boulder and beyond to pick up the train in Arvada for a day on the slopes in Winter Park or Steamboat, he said, could make travel that much more difficult for locals.

“It’s a beautiful ride — I just don’t think it’s practical,” Marvin said of the bucolic journey through Colorado’s northern mountains. “It’s for skiing.”

taking the bus to work (thanks MDOT MTA) so I can skip airport parking prices and thank god the buses and train timed themselves so well because 2 hours is a long time to travel ~20 miles (ended up saving 30 minutes)
