Made a #science vid! Flying through action potentials from a human entorhinal #neuron, showing the loss of spike shape during a seizure... And the full paper exploring this finding (and its deeper meanings) is now available in all its peer-reviewed glory: https://www.jneurosci.org/content/early/2...

Turns out, action potentials in neurons that are recruited to the seizure become shorter in amplitude, and longer in duration (above), and that this is exclusive to the "core" of the seizure (anterior cingulate here). Check out the paper for full gif explanations... #science!
