The most successful modern nations function as Mixed Economies. They use capitalist markets to grow the economy and socialist policies to protect the people. A just government protects the individual from state tyranny AND the vulnerable from corporate exploitation. 4/5

We also acknowledge the strengths of synthesis. Capitalist markets are the most effective engines for generating wealth and innovation. Socialist principles (unions, safety nets) are the best tools for ensuring fairness and preventing destitute poverty. 3/5
