I'm excellent at my job. I would have loved to stay at Probe, if only I thought there was any chance I'd get paid what I deserve for the rash of shit that frontline staff have to take every day, or if the working conditions had allowed for any kind of positive workplace culture at all.

I suspected ATO employees had it better, but I was never sure until on my second-last day, I found myself on the phone with someone from the actual ATO. I'd sent a letter that had turned out to have been out of date, and for some reason he'd wanted me to call him to explain what happened.
