We create kind, confident and connected communities through the power of growing locally accessible food, free for all to pick
MEGABLOOM! Have you ever seen one? Now's your chance... Incredible Edible Crossgates have been documenting their experience. Why does it happen? Well, beefsteak tomato flowers sometimes cluster together and if they are pollinated, will fuse into a megabloom tomato like this gorgeous specimen.

Thank you to Redrow for their donation of £500 to Incredible Edible Garforth. We loved meeting Irina Rix who went home with a freshly picked cabbage, grown by our wonderful community of volunteers. You can read all about it in the Yorkshire Evening Post. www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/community/ho...

Dozens of local children will be raising money for us by selling school-grown fruit and veg at Kirkgate Market on 4 July. Part of the #YoungMarketeers programme by @schoolfoodmatters.bsky.social - a brilliant #FoodEducation initiative teaching children where food comes from and how to grow it.

We understand that sometimes it can be hard to tell if something is ready to pick or needs more time to grow. That's why we put out signs to let you know what we'd like you to pick and what we'd like you to leave. Beans the cat would prefer not to be eaten...

Children learn about the world through their everyday experiences - we help local schools and parents to give children access to planting and picking fresh food for free.
