Learning that one doesn’t need to react immediately to a situation. Let it settle, weigh options, fine-tune the best option, and then move confidently with that option.

Making some serious changes in my life right now. I’m simplifying my schedule, losing some weight, and focusing on my health, both physical and mental. It will take some time to free myself from some of my responsibilities that I agreed to take on, but it will be worth it.

It’s been a while since I posted anything, but I’m compelled to share something about Frank Caprio, the Rhode Island municipal court judge who passed away today. Such a shining example of compassion and kindness. RIP, Judge Caprio. We will miss your light.

My Seattle trip was so good, I’m having a bit of trouble getting myself back into “normal retirement” mode!

I'll be performing twice this Saturday! In the morning, I'll be reading the role of Thomas Jefferson in a new play at the Lyceum in Arrow Rock. That evening, I'll be singing at Talking Horse as part of the Broadway Fools cabaret. Hope you can catch me at least once!

Just finished with the annual Missouri Symphony League's appreciation reception for our volunteers and sponsors. Always a fun time (and the food and wine is tasty, too)! The League is a GREAT group of music lovers who raise awareness and funds for the Missouri Symphony.

Grateful for all the “loves” in my life that make each day interesting and alive. Dinner tonight with my main guy and some great friends before we head to the theatre.

Today will be church, reading, SB, dog time, strategizing for the week. Best things this week? Massage, opening of CORLEONE at Talking Horse. Worst things this week? Probably the news.

My brain is tired, and my patience is low. Is this truly what "make America great again" is all about? Wearing people down? Treating people who aren't like you with disdain and dehumanizing them? Firing hardworking civil servants who have done nothing wrong? Surely this isn't what we signed up for.

Two meetings today, plus laundry, figuring out how to do a wire transfer, loving on my dog, picking up lunch for 10 people. You know, an average day...tomorrow will be one meeting and two rehearsals. Onward!

While I won't engage in some sort of "debate" with people who want to support differing opinions and different politicians than myself, I will say that all the frenzy over Bishop Budde's sermon is fascinating. It was a sermon, not a lecture.

Did y’all just discover Bishop Mariann Buddy? 💖 She’s been speaking truth to power for a long time. Check out when tRumpf marched over to her church, gassed the people peaceably gathered there, and then held up a bible. She was having NONE of it. Her sermon was 🔥 (2020)
