It might be because I subscribe to several moderation lists that some kind souls have put together. But I very rarely see any bot/scam/troll pop up in my feeds.

Third-party services can plug into BlueSky's open architecture and offer additional moderation services more sophisticated than these.

Use moderation lists maintained by someone else. Makes the overall experience much cleaner.
