Fanart of Herbert West—Reanimator. It's an illustration of Herbert West and the book's narrator, standing in front of a giant, grotesque reanimated corpse (honestly, just a regular looking zombie). Because this illustration is based on the original 6-issue story by H.P. Lovecraft, Herbert and the narrator are both dressed in early-1900s style outfits. However, their physical appearances more-strongly resemble that of their movie counterparts. Herbert West looks quite stiff, possibly catatonic. He has slicked-back black hair, with a side part. Under a pair of round glasses, his blue-grey eyes give only the slightest hint of unease as he stares down at the ground. Blood drips from a small cut on his forehead. He's also bleeding from his nose, and you may notice some faint drops of blood in his shirt collar. Herbert adorns a black longboat, dark brown waistcoat, a white button-up shirt and a green tie, which contrasts against the general hue of the illustration. The narrator (character who Daniel Cain was based on) has a much more preoccupied posture and expression, with his left hand raised nervously, and his right gripping Herbert's arm. His dark auburn hair is best described as a pompadour (somewhat wavy, James Dean style, not the exaggerated sort). His amber eyes are wide as he looks anxiously to the side— blood oozes down from his forehead, staining his collar. He's wearing a brown tweed sport coat, a white button-up shirt, and a red western bow-tie.
