Climbed Helvellyn on Saturday - up Swirral Edge then down Striding Edge, contrary to everyone else. Absolutely brilliant day out, a bit of a challenge but really fun. Proud of myself ❤️🔥

I can only walk roughly a mile at the moment and am trying to make the most of it. So today took the opportunity to do hill reps on the only hill for miles around. 🥵
It only added up to about 120m but it’s better than nothing! 💪

I’ve been photographing yarn today: superwash extrafine merino/linen 4ply. It looks rustic but feels super-soft 😍

Finished! Really enjoyed making this - ideal project to distract me from pain but not be too complicated to concentrate on, and really chuffed with the finished object. 😍

Then we popped round to Go Outdoors (York) where Luna was most excellent and patient whilst I had coffee and cake and tried things on, plus she got lots of pets from people. The customer service there is really good too. First pic is her in the loo cubicle with me 🤣

Cardio session at the gym tonight to replace running whilst my foot’s being pissy.
I do warm up but my hands don’t always so yes I wear gloves at the gym and tonight’s happen to be handknit. They’re warm and breathable merino #wool so why not!
