Every new US Presidency brings a wave of articles about the 'Special Relationship' which are as tedious as they're cringe-y. Tory-boys use them to attack the left on both sides of the Atlantic; lefties attack the right ditto. Most Americans seem to wonder what on earth both sides are on about.

I’m not a massive fan of Trappist beers: too yeasty. But there are some brilliant strong beers around: Thomas Hardy Ale is well worth a try if you can find some.
