Took a weaving g class over the weekend. Learned summer amd winter weaving structure. This particular pattern is 160 years old. I love the colors I chose for this weave🥰

I acquired this wheel recently, and the outward facing side has these 3 bolt anchors that I don't find esthetically pleasing. My solution? Order some very strong magnets and a medusa wall hanging. Now, I spin 🧶 under the protection of women, children, and SA survivors! Bonus, it looks badass!

Handspun 🧶 from 100% alpaca i received 3 big paper bags of this fiber. The yarn in front is one bag, the floofs behind is another bag. I card into batts and pull them into floof noodles ready to spin.

Maybe my part in this is to be a moment of calm in this shitstorm. Sit with me as I spin yarn. Rest and refresh before returning to the hard work we all have to do to keep our lives from being ruined by the hands of the greedy and corrupt.

And the cabinet behind the chair is a fold out Murphy bed.keeping myself busy while my tattoo heals up. Fiber isn't good for on a fresh tattoo i bet.

Had this tattoo planned for a while and finally got it today! The Spider is a golden silk orb weaver, and she is spinning her silk on a drop spindle! 🧶🕷🕸

Got this lovely roving from paradise fibers! The red is recycled wool amd the peach and yellow are Corriadale wool. I'm unsure which method to spin it, fractal, individually, blend it into an art batt?🧶
