(cont'd from post below) ... issues. 3 House elections coming up soon. Strategize and advertize to SUPPRESS Republican turnout - that's my suggestion. The Right has had Ailes, Atwater, Stone, Rove... learn from their tactics (not their corruption). Get GOP voters to stay home - maybe flip seats.

I notice lately that some decent people are beginning to express hope that folks who voted for Trump in the past will SEE how corrupt and hateful he and his party are. Not happening. The Right's election wins result from many years (and billions of dollars) spent creating wedge (see next post)...

(continues my previous post, below) Elizabeth MacDonough is the current Parliamentarian, appointed by Dems in 2012. When Trump tries a reconciliation packed with non-revenue measures, if she resists, Thune (GOP Maj. leader) will fire MacDonough and replace her with a GOPer who will permit it.

#reconciliation "Reconciliation" allows passage of laws with only 51 votes, circumventing filibuster. Trump plans to combine many laws into one or two sweeping reconcilation bills. Senate rules prohibit including measures that don't change spending or revenue. Senate Parliamentarian enforces this.

Four years ago, I posted the comment below on X. On the money, except that Musk did not yet own Twitter. Conducting important online discourse on privately owned social media cannot work. I said it in '21 and it came true in the '24 election.
