To me, it looks like the primary goal has been to bolster the AHL roster. And through that, getting the NHL roster depth players.

They're still working on getting their swagger back. We've got to wait another two seasons, 38 OTLs, and 45 blown leads in the final 3 minutes of the 3rd period before it's back.

So assuming Barzal and Duclair are taking those roster spots, we're back to the opening forward group, minus swapping Martin in for Wahlstrom.
