This is a catastrophe that should force Noem out of a job and out of public life entirely

When your kindergartener wakes you up by announcing, “I need to look fancy today” and then comes back 5 minutes later with, “I need my scrub top,” you know that kindergarten graduation is going to be interesting.

Our summer law clerks started today and mine asked in I wanted her to use blue book for citations and I was like … “just give me whatever I can paste into westlaw and find the right case. I haven’t used my bourbon in 7 years.”
…Yes I did end up using it an hour later to help with a brief.

I can turn off the chat feature for games but I’m a little concerned about her having access to the iNaturalist message boards. 😐 What are some other free plant ID apps?

We setup an old iPhone so my 10 year old could use it for podcasts and music and the first thing she requested was a Plant ID app.

Nobody prepares you for the moment you try to throw your hands up to Party in the USA and then remember you are almost 40 and at a children’s Easter egg hunt and not a friend’s wedding.

Just a lawyer out here wondering if I can update my Litigation Hold memo to not include the required retention of floppy disks. 🫠

My 6 year old keeps insisting that she needs to read while doing everything and I just don’t know where she gets it from.

She is now riding her bike. Not doing math.
March 26, 2025 at 9:36 PM
Then we went outside where she got out her bicycle and then she remembered she needs her clipboard. So she went back in and got that.
March 26, 2025 at 9:36 PM
Then, she needed to gather all her accessories, during which she forgot the math inside.

Nothing quite prepared me for the part of parenting where the six year old demands to go outside to do math in the alley.

As a surgeon, I know the value of precision. A scalpel allows for careful, targeted intervention—minimizing harm while addressing the problem. But when you’ve already taken a chainsaw to the body, switching to a scalpel won’t stop the hemorrhage.

You voted for a corrupt sexual predator who assaulted multiple women and even admitted it on tape. What did you think would happen?

I also learned that sewing uniforms for mascots is a job.

I’m glad I don’t have to account for what I did last week because it’s just embarrassing to admit that I woke up at 4am with an urgent need to google whether sensory socks are considered restraints.

I’m going to need AirBnB to add a feature where I can specify the number of coat hooks I require in a home because wow do people not think they are necessary for ski houses.

Does “single sex spaces in workplaces” mean women need to return to a typing pool and sing A Secretary Is Not A Toy?

Just trying to figure out whether facilities should label bathrooms, “large reproductive cell” and “small reproductive cell” to best avoid confusion.

When you’re waiting for the states lawyers to brief you about the effect of new EOs on the state and then you remember that you are one of those lawyers.

Imagine voting for a guy so that groceries get cheaper and instead he’s too concerned about what bathrooms people use to do anything about it.

Her parents use every moment of her childhood trying to teach her the life skills she needs to survive on her own. They repeat everything a million times. They worry about how she’ll get by without them. It’s … extremely accurate.

Wow I haven’t watched Finding Dory since having a child with a disability but … wow it hits differently.

Anyway, it’s cool that the yeast I bought at Costco before I had my first kid is still active.
