Just today a friend was threatened by trump’s thought police. A complaint of “un-American hate speech” was filed with his employer. Luckily he didn’t lose his job. He’s not a high profile person, just an average US citizen. The alleged infraction was an Instagram post. This shit is really happening.

Trump isn’t smart enough to execute this text book transformation into authoritarianism. It’s a solid bet that Putin is directing each step. He’s a veteran, a pro. He’s learned from his mistakes & streamlined the process. Lucky us.
