Similar story. I used to go to a reference library so I couldn't check it out but read it on-site. They had giant chairs you sink into and music you could request and listen to with giant headphones. It was a great way to spend an afternoon.

I did eventually find a copy about 20 years later.

I love Aparo. When I was a lad, learning to draw, he was the guy I tried to imitate the most.

If folks aren't already, boycott WaPo and Amazon.

Karen, I'm sorry you have to go through this.

Yep. Even in this digital age, a lot of wealth is tied to geography. Not just physical assets but the social networks that help feed wealth and businesses. It's not that easy to move if you're wealthy and don't want to take a financial hit.

It's what typically happens.

A lot of wealth -- even in this digital age -- is tied to geography. Aside from physical assets, one's network is a source of wealth and that's usually tied to a place, too.

It's not as easy to move if you're rich and you don't want to take a financial hit.

Similar research over the decades has found similar results.

A lot of wealth is tied to geography. In some cases, physical assets. In other cases, where one's business social network is.

It's not easy to relocate that kind of wealth.
