In 2010, we launched Climate Smart for small and medium-sized businesses. Working with over 40 partners, the program reached 1,000 businesses, helping participants achieve an average 22% emissions reduction in 2 years.

In April, the Climate Resilience team visited the Nuxalk Nation on the BC Coast. We met Coastal Guardian Watchmen who guided us through ancient forests to measure soil carbon. Nuxalk purchased 181 hectares to prevent logging, protecting forests that store carbon. Learn more: ecotrust.ca/climate
