We're all too damn busy working with our 10-15 days of paid leave. We're kept unable to protest much, and our shopping becomes a force of habit.

That being said, I just spent my last vacation in Canada and felt good about it.

Who would stay to work for the US Federal govt if they don't have to? With a good resume, high performers will be moving to private market or abroad - to countries that don't denigrate serving your citizens.

Yup. Same with my mother.

Wow, they're idiots. Any coder know each DB system has a default null date representation for zero.

He will just cut them huge rebate checks like he did in 201u and 2018, about $13 billion, after this tariffs that time hurt them. No one blinked nor cared.

And she will still do nothing.

And yet, they will still require us to full in our life details in FAFSA even if we only take the standard amount that anyone can get without regard to finances.

Until Elon comes for their medicare, or medicaid, or SS check, or cancels their kids' scholarship, etc. I can't wait for them to reap the consequences, at this point

Trump looking to add to that loss of 3 million jobs from his FIRST term at bat.

The perils of modern society. No one has enough spare money or vacation time from work to go do a revolution. They're counting on this, I think. Probably easier to be a 1500's peasant with a pitchfork and tell the wife you'd be home when the king's head was on a pike.

I"ll believe they care about transparency when they share Trump and Elon's taxes. Or the money flow going to SpaceX/Tesla/Boring/xAI, etc.

Mine would do it, just wagging her tail and waiting for a pet or a taco from *everyone*

Yeah she had a scratch on her back area from a failed latch. I scrubbed that down with the headlight pad. Got msot of it down, but it buffed off the sheen. Couple passes with the clear coat spray and fixed.
January 26, 2025 at 1:28 AM
Did this on my daughter's volvo last week. She's very happy with it. The clear-coat wipes are also great for restoring the body paint to the proper sheen if you have to buff out a small scratch, too.

Make sure your papers are in order at the border please, Herr Hammill.

Yup. How his board hasn't told him to shut up or step down is beyond me.

My office is a sunroom technically. But not much sun.

Gig work is likely a little more nebulous and would adds bit of slop to it, but likely not much. That's determined from the direct worker survey and not a payroll company, etc.
January 15, 2025 at 2:27 PM
In the US? Not reallly. Only about 5% of workers hold multiple jobs.
