This is fiscal insanity. According to the treasury charts below, the total public debt increased $2.18 trillion (36.17-33.99) in 2024 and is already up $2.20 trillion (38.37-36.17) in 2025 (12/19/25). The last plot shows the current annual deficit to be about $2 trillion.

Kevin Hassett's claim that "the deficit relative to last year, is down by $600 billion" is a lie. According to the treasury charts below, the total public debt increased $2.18 trillion (36.17-33.99) in 2024 and is already up $2.20 trillion (38.37-36.17) in 2025 (12/19/25).

The trouble is, the polls don't account for voter suppression or the possibility of vote manipulation. The plots below show the massive red shift in Texas over the last two Presidential cycles. See econdataus.com/voting_oe24....

Could that be why most Democrat precincts in major Pennsylvania counties shifted Republican from 2020 to 2024 while Republican precincts remained about the same? See the graphs below and at econdataus.com/voting_area_...

Those are strange numbers. I wrote an R Shiny app that duplicates them and documented it at econdataus.com/GE24Pres_dro... . It produces the graph below which shows that the swing states followed the trend of the Republican-leaning states (negative Dem drop-off and large Rep drop-off), but more so!
