Surely each brain region needs to have access to information coming from lots of other regions in order to guide how it does its main job(s). Targeted causal perturbations of each of these regions may tell a different story

To get DBS to work well, clinicians spend many hours manually programming (setting the device parameters). This process limits DBS accessibility, delays optimal treatment, and constrains the potential for next-generation technology to improve patient outcomes.
