📍On average, there is one poor-condition culvert in every 10.1 km of stream length.

📍Land tenure and road condition were drivers of culvert condition.

📍Obstruction, perforation, and corrosion were the main defects of culverts.

Cecilia did extensive field work to document the state of culverts and roads at stream crossings in western Quebec (Canada). We found that:

📍The majority (63%) of culverts assessed along forest roads were in poor condition.
