The prices for these HP ventless driers is now cheaper than traditional vented driers as they take-over market share. Apartment builders love not having to build venting through the apartment for vented driers.

They are very energy efficient by initially extracting heat (at 300% efficiency) from the house air (which never leaves the house). With vented driers, you are not only wasting the energy from the drier itself, but also the energy from the conditioned air in the house as makeup air is required.

Most of the heat is recycled back into the clothes from condensing the moisture and directing it into a drain (likely close by for the washer). If not, there is a reservoir that you empty manually into a sink after each load.
