Let's remember our native wildlife during these hot days...

As the weather warms up, please help keep our wildlife safe. Place a bowl of water outside and don't forget to include a stick long enough for small reptiles and insects to escape 💚☀️

Multinational gas companies get 56% of our gas for free and then export it overseas. Since our governments allowed these gas exports, our gas bills have tripled and our electricity bills have doubled.

Australian governments are meant to represent the interests of Australians, not multinational gas corporations.

Australians are tired of rampant gas exports driving up their power bills.

Many rental properties don’t have aircon at all. Aircon should be mandatory in Australian homes. But yes - the cost of electricity means some people (including home owners) can’t afford to turn them on sadly.

The high cost of keeping homes at a comfortable temperature is driving millions of #renters to avoid it altogether, according to new research from #Energy #Consumers #Australia (ECA)

Corporations maximise profit, drive up prices and cut back on quality. Look at the cost of electricity since Ausgrid was sold off.

Sadly Australia is the largest exporter of coal in the world, accounting for about 34.9% of global coal exports. Sometimes I’m ashamed to be an Aussie.

FUN FACT!
Roughly 40% of global shipping is dedicated to transporting Fossil Fuels - namely coal, oil, and gas.
We can get rid of all that as we electrify the world

Keep blinds down and windows closed from early in the day to keep heat out. Use fans and air conditioners if you have them. All rentals should be airconditioned IMO.

This report shows Aussie businesses are ditching gas as prices rise and renewables get cheaper. From farms to factories, switching to electric tech is saving money and cutting emissions. Getting off gas isn’t just greener, it’s smarter for business👏
