They just had their first full-on vision since a long while, their repressed abilities growing through the cracks. and goodness have I missed the creative writing outlet that D&D gives me also! I wrote the following after our session:

Valeria feels like they cannot look ahead until they have atoned for their "sins" of the past. They should have been better, should have saved their loved ones. Though as their powers/class, and the organization they are now part of all focus on Psionics & Divination, they repress their visions.

Valeria was once a Trevari (Homebrew Dryad-like race), whose Willow-tree they and their kin were bound to was poisoned & died. Before the tree perished, through a combination of magic and technology, someone "saved" them... Though they did not see it as such. A sole survivor and thrust into a war...

For some context on current state, we are only on Session 2, much to learn and discover still :D!! The inciting incident/what got the party together, is that we were all hired as a protection detail of a noble who is part of a larger caravan on its way to accomplish a Peace Treaty in a large city!

Not to mention that one of her fellow party members is her ex-fiancée, who was (unknowingly) responsible for the loss of her soul. Though Laeli stills loves her deeply, she has felt very betrayed by this ordeal. As we get closer to her Soul, she has night terrors of her beloved murdering her..!

Our party is around ~35 session in, currently on the 3rd layer of the Hells, Minauros. This is where her stolen/lost Soul is presumably located and every bit we inch closer, her mind grows more worried. She is terrified if she can even retrieve it, and what that will mean for her...
