Only to an extent through the Department of Education. For the most part, states have agency over their own ed. But this admin wants to close down the Dept of Ed completely…

The Immortals is also a good quartet, especially if you love animals.

I recommend them. I loved Kelandry (the FMC starting in Page). It was nice seeing someone w/out magic & not hiding that she was female go through the training & society. The duology following Alanna’s daughter in Trickster’s Choice & Trickster’s Queen is also really well done & a bit more mature.

I don’t know why, but this has made me VERY happy.
