Eight days and all done! 100%'ed Silksong!

I had a wonderful time, albeit pretty frustrating at times.

I hope they tweak things so other can enjoy it too. But for me it's fine the way it is.

(Could do with less grindy gauntlets & 2 damage attacks imo.)

if theres one thing i miss about photoshop, is that no pixel-art capable app has Layer Styles this powerful for pixel-art.

this was 7 years ago, imagine what i'd be making now with my current skillset.

started and beat Hynospace Outlaw this weekend! it was such a wild experience.

if you ever wanted to see how it feels to moderate a neocities style community, play this!

its not perfect tho, it was really easy to lose direction and get confused/lost. also the story ends pretty abruptly imo.

A list of game demos I played. Windswept Donkey Kong Country-like 2D-Platformer, with its own unique mechanics. Pixel Art is clean and so cute, no notes! Each character has their own unique properties, Duck can spindash and float, Turtle can ground pound and cancel that into an air dash. Team-up moves that are unique depending on who you’re controlling. (Was this in DKC?) Gameplay is exceptionally smooth, the challenges are fun and the difficult levels are VERY challenging. (The first one took me an hour iirc). Possessor(s) Stunning moody visuals, very dark and good lighting everywhere. Protagonist & Supporter Role designs are fucking cool as hell. Most of the movement is pretty good, not a fan of the run button needing a charge before moving. Whip mechanic is fucking great and makes me want this in every game. Secondary weapons have pretty good use and I hope to see them more often. Dead as Disco Arkham style combat meets rhythm. Really loved the music choices as well, and the fact that it has a custom music importer is fantastic. Once you're into a flow its some of the most satisfying combat. Absolum Amazing artstyle, great pallete, and solid animation. Combat is not only good but flows very well with your teammates. Had a lot of very satisfying "your turn" moments. This one gets a roguelike pass but still frustrates me that theres so many these days. Honestly, these should be different gamemodes, not the focus imo. Secrets! Always good to have secrets in beat-em-ups. Maybe an option to save progress after each big boss? (Maybe it does? We didn't beat the king guy.) My Card is Better than Your Card! SO GOOD, SUCH A FUN YET BALANCED CONCEPT. Every card in your deck can have its stickers placed on it or removed from it, no limits. Each sticker adds an effect to a card but will increase the cost of playing the card. You can organize and move the stickers around to design the sticker layout to look better. Once you build a proper deck you can get some crazy synergies going.
