Used to have a consistent type of dream where I didn't attend a specific class on Friday and suddenly the exam, paper or whatever was due. The exact subject changed but it was always Fridays, whether the context was uni or high school.

It looks like youtube is moving towards not even making that distinction anymore.

For years I've been confused when people say they don't see any videos of the channels they're subscribed to anymore, thinking "they must be looking at the home page, not their subscription page"

This widget is essentially something they'd put on your Home page, among all the other stuff they recommend you to watch.

Instead, every time I open the app now I think it didn't sync correctly when the top video is a day old and the next one a week old.

I started out making the core gameplay happen with just imgui as a visualization. So for a good few months it just existed in a 2D placeholder UI. There are a few larger libraries involved (eastl, fmod, glm) and some more smaller ones, so not quite handmade but still very much custom.

Apart from the renderer, which I build as a dll, the game practically is the engine. So I didn't start writing anything general purpose. This thing can really just do this one game. Made it with the goal of super low input to audio latency no matter the framerate.

I got plenty of people on my Bsky timeline reporting the same thing. Some are assuming it's due to third-party client use like OldTweetDeck.
