I definitely do better at in-person events. Social media is so flooded, it makes it really difficult to get your name out there.

It does often feel like a double-edged sword. I choose to keep “feminist” in my description to prepare readers for what to expect—equality for all, smashing the patriarchy, and devouring the rich. Reading and books are political, and so I prefer to state where I fall right up front—knowing that it

It feels like I get TONS of views with much smaller population of followers and even a much much smaller population of buyers. I feel like we’ve moved into a scroll-happy social media society and further away from conversations.

This is interesting to read. I have noticed less from the cis boys club, but I also market my books as FEMINIST, so it keeps a lot of those types away (which is fine by me).

Yes! Would love to hear what’s working for others. I know I probably need to start making reels and doing some spoken word, but I do so much talking and video recording in my day job that it feels exhausting doing it for my writing.
