Usually I like to post about good movies. Today it was The Oregonian (2011). Woman survives car wreck to have acid-fueled adventure. A bit of Bunuel? Don’t mind if I do. This guy is having sex with a tree by the way. Yeah. It kind of sucked. Already forgetting it. Oh, there is a guy in a Gumby suit.

Just watched L.I.E. (2001). It’s about a kid that has to grow fast. Creepy old men and boys who know more than they should at an early age. It was OK. Not as intense as something like Bully or docu style like Kids. Worth a look.

Currently watching We’re All Going to the World’s Fair. Good acting. An online horror game. A teen’s room is her refuge. Outside is suburban infill, blight. A world where no one really talks. The anonymity of an alley behind a Best Buy. Has the Internet really changed isolation?

Currently watching Order of Death (1983). Harvey Keitel as a crooked drug cop and John Lydon (Johnny Rotten) as a potential cop killer. Lydon wants to confess to Keitel. They end up locked in a luxury apartment. Lots of abuse. Lydon has an interest line delivery. #horror #homoeroticviolence

Tonight it’s Nightwatch (Denmark 1994). Keeping my attention. College student gets hired as night security officer in a morgue. Interesting view of masculinity. Also makes me want to be a night attendant in a morgue.

Currently watching Mystics in Bali. It’s a 1981 Indonesian film that features what D&D players would call a Penaggalan. A vampire whose head flies off trailing it’s organs. The film is mainly silly, but has some weird moments. Should have been stoned for this.

Finally watching I Saw the TV Glow. It’s like a Bergman film, only with lots of neon instead of B&W.

Currently half-watching Night Screams (1987). It’s like Dawson’s Creek meets a porn movie. There’s a serial killer and two escaped convicts. I’m sure these two people will be fine.
