He’s not ALWAYS wrong - like the proverbial broken clock. He’s made the point Canada must be more independent and self-reliant. No Canadian politician could have been so effective.

But DJT has mobilized the country with an immediacy I would have never guessed possible.

China’s no one’s friend. But at least they haven’t allied themselves with the US in its attempt to takeover Canada - yet.

Canada must be much stronger in its own right, and ally with entities (including Democrats in the US) that share our values and are trustworthy.

Exactly! I actually don’t disagree with much of what Trump is asking for. But the way he did it was beyond stereotypical American arrogance. It was criminal. He’ll do it again, and it’s consumers who have the power to stop him - not the Canadian government.

So the tariffs are off for a month.

Threatening our sovereignty (51st state), and breaking NAFTA is not negotiation. It’s extortion.

I deeply hope the Canadian consumer doesn’t accept this frail, temporary truce in Trump’s undeclared economic war on our country.
