Yeah, each "native" system for it (RuneQuest, HeroQuest/QuestWorlds, and 13th Age) leave a lot to be desired, but in different ways. I've tinkered with conversions to Dragonbane, Year Zero, and World of Darkness (a riff on the version here www.backtobalazar.com/wodglorantha/) and had fun with each
