Another example of this is the gifting system. In DA:O, for instance, you could give a silly gift to a companion and get a disapproval reaction. It’s a small detail, but it adds a bit of fun, makes it interesting and unpredictable. In DA:V, though, it feels like you are forced to be perfect.

My biggest issue is the lack of choices in dialogue, which makes interactions feel a bit soulless. There’s no way to shape Rook’s personality — I rarely have the option to agree or disagree, to challenge or criticize anyone. There’s no way to screw up, which makes the approval system feel pointless.
