An autistic nerd trying to see the benefits of this “bicycling” thing everyone’s talking about.
I haven’t died. Just trying to climb out from under all the ads I’ve favorites for ebikes in my country.

I’ve been researching shipping an e-bike from the EU to New Zealand where I plan to move next and it seems like it would be a pretty big hassle.

So I guess I have a couple more years where I can do a ton of research before buying one and getting this thing started properly.

Thoughts on belt drives? Worth the extra cost?

After tons of research on the 2nd and 3rd-order effects of bicycling, I’m at a total loss as to why more towns/cities don’t actively encourage cycling.

There’s serious money here for everyone but car dealerships.

Is that it, cities? Do the dealerships have something on you? Blink if you need help!

Discovery: Turns out significant others really don’t want to talk about the small economics of ebike ownership.

My suspicion is that they think it’s “boring.”

Question: Everyone says you get what you pay for with e-bikes. Better quality batteries, materials, reliability, etc.

At what point does that stop being a factor?

Wanna read the awkward first post of a blog that I haven’t finished making pretty?

Despite being a kid in the 80s/90s and practically living on my bike, this whole e-bike thing has thrown me for a loop and I feel like I know NOTHING.

What the hell is a mid-step frame and why is this a thing?
