“Hey this [problem you aren’t in charge of] is URGENT and needs to be FIXED ASAP” only to never reply again when you ask for more info

If you buy a used Switch Lite and a dozen content-rich games on sale (Stardew Valley, Hades, Terraria, etc.), you can get 1000+ hours of quality gaming for like $300. That could last most people several years before they got bored.

One thing I’ve slowly realized about gaming (as an avid gamer myself):

“Great writing” for games = “decent writing” for novels/film/TV

“Masterpiece writing” for games = “good writing” for novels/film/TV

There are a few exceptions of course, but that list is very short imo

I got a little too into Hollow Knight lore that I had to take a step back and remind myself that it they made most of it up after the bulk of the game was already designed and it wasn’t that serious lol

I don’t think there’s one single video game where the dailies are the fun part of the game. It’s pretty much always the most mediocre experience a game offers.

Same. My PS5 is my blu-ray player for all my movies/TV and I’ll stick with it for as long as it works
