Self-driving cars for what? Why do these tech people get to decide what’s good for society? I’d rather they pay taxes, we invest in education and decide the future of our roads and transportation infrastructure together than a handful of wankers who lack the social finesse to talk to a taxi driver.

“It was all a lie.” I’ve always thought that.

COVID causes inflammation and organ damage. Perhaps people suffered some brain damage. Something strange definitely happened. And some leadership also encouraged people to be callous & dismissive of others who were more vulnerable to Covid, accusing them of being a drag on the economy, basically.

care what I think. Calling reps is one thing we can do but we have to find other ways too.
January 16, 2026 at 6:16 PM
Writing your own reps is more effective. It’s annoying but it’s our system. I find it very annoying that people like Comer, Tubberville, Jim Jordan, Mike Johnson and other idiots get in the way of progress. How much have we lost because of dummies like them? But they aren’t my reps so they don’t

I think that we have to remember that in the US, the people are the ones who have the power. To get the things we want, we ourselves have to be willing to do some work. We need to understand how stuff works and we need to organize.

they still don’t do anything to bring us justice, then I will be very angry with democrats. But, at the end of the day, I realize that these guys are a bunch of nerds. Think about the people who ran for class president or student govt or whatever. Nerds.

This is misreading the scene. If Jeffries is your congressperson, I suggest you call his office and let them know that this isn’t where we’re at right now. I am disappointed in Schumer particularly, but I want to see a wave election. There needs to be accountability. If we have enough seats and

Sorry but I am angry, very angry with the GOP. I would like the party to go the way of the Whigs. I want the most right wing person to be Hillary Clinton.
January 16, 2026 at 5:51 PM
Not all of them are going to be able to get on a mic. It annoys me when I am seeing democratic leaders speak out and people make sweeping statements that they aren’t. These kinds of statements put all of the burden on one party when the problem is the GOP has given up on being an American party.

I disagree. “Democrats have disputed that narrative, arguing that the protests have been largely peaceful. They’re blaming Trump and ICE for inflaming tensions in Minneapolis just by being there.” And I don’t even like The Hill thehill.com/homenews/hou...

There are so many to choose from. Good grief. How will they decide?

Yikes! I looked the guy up. It seems he won the Nobel prize for literature. It also seems he was a traitor to the Norwegians during the war and an inveterate racist.
