Bryce Harper detoxing his blood by supposedly infusing it with a toxin is peak woo.

Brett Phillips as a team rep at the draft went exactly how you would expect.

Giants and Royals have lottery picks (15th and 16th best odds)

If the Reds have the 18th pick, you know the Mets didn't get a lottery pick. #DraftLottery

I can't help but feel prompted to remind you that CBS goes on the air and starts revealing the NCAA Tournament bracket literally within three minutes of the clock striking 6 p.m. ET 😀

I'm old enough to remember when TBS got a hard time for drawing out the basketball selection show.

At long last, a viable use for crypto: tax loss harvesting. 😂
Falling crypto prices put investors in a 'unique' position to take advantage of a classic tax strategy, says CPA
If you have losses in your crypto portfolio, you may be able to "harvest them" to offset tax you owe on gains.

Benefit of the 12 team playoff.

I count 28 games this weekend with some kind of playoff/national championship implication.

If Purdue wins on Friday night and Michigan wins Saturday afternoon, the Big Ten tiebreakers get pretty fun.

It would come down to the Illinois/NW, Minn/Wis, UCLA/USC, and Neb/Iowa games and a strength of conference record tiebreaker.

Didn't realize how subpar Jason Foley's career K rates are.

Random Tigers thought I had.

Of all the people who could realistically be added to the roster (i.e. prospects, free agents, trade candidates, injury returnees), the one most likely to put up a 5+ WAR season in 2026 is probably Kevin McGonigle.

Ah crap. The MTE production crew found the suit guys.

MLB Draft on network TV next year seems like a big deal.

Swing and a miss.

Urquidy was an error in the db related to his option consent deal as a 5 year guy.

And the Tigers decided to protect Valencia anyways. Maybe he took a step forward after the successor contract.
I found a little roster nugget in the BA Transactions logs, as they appear to be showing minor league successor contracts that are signed.

Jose Urquidy was listed, which tells me they have him signed to a minor league extension and are planning on declining his option.

Bumping this thread if you see some pre-arb DFA's that turn into non-tenders on Friday.
Non-tender day tomorrow. Usually referred to as the day to make a call on arbitration eligible players, but other players get non-tendered as well. Why? Well, to answer the question quickly, I'll say it may be the last chance until Spring Training, or to bypass waivers, but this thread will explain.

I can think of a solution, but not sure baseball owners are going to like it.
After pitch-betting scheme, MLB team execs know they face a problem — but not how to solve it
“I just don't want to touch the topic,” said Atlanta Braves exec Alex Anthopoulos, a sentiment shared by many of his peers.

NYT not linking to the raw source of Epstein documents because...

One of their former reporters is featured heavily in them providing counsel?

To get more page views from the drip drip drip?

That the CEO of the company that has naming rights for a pro Golf Tour was good friends with Epstein after he was already a registered sex offender is something I doubt the golf media brings up.
November 13, 2025 at 12:35 AM
I will say this for Trump: unlike the gobs of VIP's who stayed friends with Epstein after he was a known sex offender, at least he broke off ties.

Wolff, Sommers, etc. look really bad today.
