we had our masters swim holiday party tonight after practice... always weird (but v fun) seeing swim friends wearing clothes

somebody told me I look nice... I was wearing jeans, a plain black sweater, flip flops and my hair was still dripping wet, it's not a high bar with this crowd

I keep wanting to use the old verbiage in my head. What do we call posting, in this place? I kind of like "floating"... I'm going to take my idea and just float it out there into the big bluesky...

I'm realizing how much the other app really killed my desire to post anything of substance. Before I'd hit send I would imagine all the ways people would misread what I had to say or twist it to an agenda, and I would delete it. Over time I stopped posting all together. So toxic!

3 year old fiiiinally stopped obsessing over the fire alarm that went off at gym class a month ago

so of course they had a fire drill at daycare today and we're back to square one 🫠

Had a great time at the "Beyond the Breakers" open water swimming conference this weekend. Looking forward to seeing how it grows next year! Lots of perspectives on the sport from swimmers, crew, and of course, a shark expert 🏊🏻‍♀️🦈🏊🏻‍♂️
