I read this to Iza often. A little boy who wrote Maurice Sendak to say it was his favorite book, so Maurice replied with his famous drawings and signature. Well the mother wrote again to say, “my little boy loved your letter and drawing so much, he ate it.” Maurice said it was the best compliment.
